The year was 2020 and the race to save earth was well on its way.

Having missed the target of December 21st, 2012, mankind was now working at fever pitch to meet ascension requirements by the coming deadline.  They had waited a long time already and finally, a fresh opportunity was only some years away.  The next wormhole would be accessible in 2023.  But if they missed this chance, then the following one was estimated to be after 2045!

Many had doubts of the earth surviving that long.

The only way forward was to make a concentrated effort at awakening more individuals.
